A key role of any heritage centre or museum is to share (subject to conservation considerations) the collections in its care. To achieve this aim, like any business, it must raise its profile and advertise.
Local secondary students were given the opportunity to explore this important aspect of the heritage industry. Following an information gathering visit at the Heritage Centre and the House on Crutches Museum, students were set the challenge to design publicity brochures for different target audiences – educationalist, researchers and tourist.
