As part of the House on Crutches Museum’s temporary exhibition programme, and to reinforce its commitment to local collections, the Museum played host to ‘Private Passions’ an exhibition of private and at times unusual collections found in the local community.
In support of this exhibition BCHRC visited two local schools – Lydbury North and Bishop’s castle Primary schools to find out what local children were passionate about. The children were then set the challenge of creating their own mini 3D museum displays or ‘Cabinets of Curiosity’ based on their own ‘passion’ or collection. These were then displayed in the House on Crutches Museum along side its official ‘Private Passions’ exhibition.
